Goal-Focused Disability Support

Support that's built around what you actually want to achieve.
Your NDIS plan is full of goals. But goals only mean something when the support behind them is genuinely working toward them. At Angels On Duty, we don’t just tick boxes or fill shifts. We take the time to understand what you want your life to look like and build everything we do around helping you get there.
Services
Personalised Goal Planning
Before we do anything else, we listen. We sit down with you, your family, and your support coordinator to understand not just the goals written in your NDIS plan, but the ones that genuinely matter to you day to day. From there we build a support plan that’s practical, meaningful, and actually designed to get you somewhere.
We start with a proper conversation — not a form, not a checklist. We ask about your life, what you enjoy, what frustrates you, what you wish was different, and what you’d love to be able to do. From there we work with you and your support coordinator to identify the goals that will make the biggest difference and figure out the most practical steps to get there.
That’s more common than you’d think and it’s completely okay. Part of our role is helping you explore what’s possible and figure out what you actually want not just what you think you’re supposed to want. We’ll work through it with you at your pace with no pressure and no assumptions.
ILO is suitable for NDIS participants who want to live as independently as possible and have the capacity to direct their own support to some degree. It works well for people who want more choice and flexibility in their living arrangement than a group home environment provides, and for those who have a clear vision for the kind of life they want to build.

Making the Most of Your NDIS Plan
Your NDIS plan is one of the most important tools you have. We help you understand it, make the most of the funding available to you, and make sure the support you’re receiving is genuinely aligned with the outcomes your plan is designed to achieve.
Every support activity we provide is connected back to your NDIS plan goals. We document progress regularly, communicate with your support coordinator, and make sure that when it comes time for your plan review, there’s a clear and honest record of what’s been achieved and what still needs focus.
Yes. NDIS plans can be confusing, especially if you’re new to the system or your plan has recently changed. We can help you understand what your funding covers, how to use it effectively, and what to expect from your supports. We’ll always be honest with you about what’s possible within your plan.
We help you document your progress, reflect on what’s working and what isn’t, and think through what supports you’ll need in your next plan period. Being well prepared for a plan review can significantly affect the outcome, and we’re here to make sure you go in feeling confident and informed.

Building Your Capacity Over Time
Capacity building is about more than learning new skills. It’s about growing your confidence, expanding what feels possible, and developing the tools to live a fuller, more independent life. We work with participants over time to build real capacity that shows up in everyday life, not just in a support plan.
Capacity building support can include developing daily living skills, building social and communication skills, learning to manage routines and responsibilities, developing employment readiness, improving health and wellbeing, and working toward any other outcome that increases your independence and quality of life. The focus is always on real, meaningful progress.
Standard support assists you with tasks in the moment. Capacity building is about equipping you with the skills and confidence to handle more of those tasks yourself over time. Both have their place and many participants benefit from a combination of the two. We work with you to find the right balance.
There’s no fixed timeline. Progress depends on the individual, the goals being worked toward, and the consistency of support. We set realistic expectations from the start and celebrate every step forward, regardless of how big or small it might seem.

Honest Progress, Clearly Reported
You deserve to know whether the support you’re receiving is actually making a difference. We track progress honestly, report clearly, and communicate openly with you and your support coordinator so there are never any surprises about how things are going.
We document support activities and progress notes regularly, using straightforward language that’s easy to understand. Progress is reviewed with you and your support coordinator on an ongoing basis so everyone is on the same page about how things are going and what might need to change.
Yes. We provide clear, honest progress reports that can be used to support your NDIS plan review. These reports outline what has been worked on, what progress has been made, and what ongoing support is recommended going forward.
We’ll be upfront with you about it. If something isn’t working or progress is slower than expected, we’ll have an honest conversation about why and what we can do differently. We’d rather acknowledge a challenge early and adjust our approach than paper over it and leave you no better off.

FAQ's
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I have goal focused support funding in my NDIS plan?
Goal focused support can be funded across several areas of your NDIS plan including Core Supports and Capacity Building. If you’re unsure what’s available to you, speak with your support coordinator or reach out to our team and we’ll help you understand your options.
Can goal focused support be provided alongside other Angels On Duty services?
Yes. Most of our participants access goal focused support as part of a broader package of services including in-home support, community access, and lifestyle support. We coordinate everything so your support feels joined up and consistent.
What if my support coordinator and I disagree on what my goals should be?
Your goals are yours. While your support coordinator plays an important role in your plan, the goals you work toward should reflect what you actually want for your life. We’ll always advocate for your right to determine your own goals and support you in communicating those clearly.
Do you work with participants who have complex support needs?
Yes. Our team has experience supporting participants across a wide range of needs and circumstances. We take the time to understand each person’s situation properly and match them with the right support worker for their goals and personality.
